CHURCHES TOGETHER IN BROADSTONE
A Prayer for Broadstone
Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. Ps 136. 1
| Lord we thank you- |
|
For flower beds by the shops,
a beautiful park and recreation ground;
Bless those who tend them,
May they be places of safety and peace.
For our businesses, surgeries, library and shops;
Give their staff a patient courtesy,
Protect us all from harm.
For our Post Office, banks and financial services;
Keep their staff faithful in what is entrusted to them,
Give us all wisdom in the use of money.
|
For our young people, the schools and youth clubs;
Support the staff; guide the parents; May the children learn self-respect
and care for others;
Release those held by drugs and drink.
For the police and all who work for our safety;
Give them perseverance and good judgement.
For people who say hallo and smile,
for the clubs and pubs and places to meet,
Bless those who cannot get out,
and those who visit them.
|
My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord, Let every creature praise
his holy name. Ps 146.1
