In addition
to the Castleman Trailway, Broadstone enjoys an enviable number of footpaths
and bridleways. One, for instance, connects the Trailway, through Delph
Woods, with Gravel Hill. Some are useful short-cuts to and from the
main shopping area and others criss-cross Broadstone Heath. Wonderful
views are available from Footpath 5 and it is to be hoped that the various
interested parties can find a way for this path to connect with the
restored Ashington railway cutting, instead of terminating on the golf
course.
