BROADSTONE LEISURE CENTRE
Station Approach, Broadstone, Dorset BH18 8AX

The idea of swimming in January may conjure up images of people plunging into freezing water to maintain an annual tradition. It doesn't have to be like that. Here at Broadstone Leisure Centre the water is at a very comfortable 31 degrees, the warmest in the area. A 20 by 7 metre wide pool, shallow and ideal for learning to swim as well as that leisure swim. Swimming lessons start from just 5 months old all the way through to adults.
If that was not enough Broadstone boasts a superb Steam Room open for all over 16 years and this has certainly been welcome, particularly during the winter months.
The pool is open seven days a week and if you require a swimming pool timetable simply just phone on 01202 777766.
There is a bar and café where you can enjoy a drink/snack with the waterside café giving you a superb view of the pool whilst you take it easy. Special sessions include Ladies Only, Over 50's Swim, Disabled Swim, Parent & Babe etc....
If swimming is all you want to do then Broadstone offers a monthly fee where upon paying you then can swim unlimited for that entire month. Their GOLD membership entitles you to unlimited swimming, unlimited gym use, unlimited tennis, free creche facility and unlimited use of all aerobic/step/circuit and aqua classes. This facility really does give everything under one roof apart from the tennis which has no roof, and with it being on our doorstep unfortunately it gives us no excuse for not continuing our fitness regimes ... even in the cold and frosty winter days...
The pool is also available for children's parties as well as private hire for groups and associations, further information can be obtained by contacting Maura Henry (Bookings Manager) on 01202 777766.
