THE WESSEX SCHOOL OF DANCING

For nineteen years “The Wessex School of Dancing” has been holding classes in Broadstone and has seen hundreds of children pass through the doors, some who have gone onto University and in the case of Naomi Lake, is doing a degree in the Arts and has just helped to stage the last school show at the Bournemouth Pavilion in November, as part of her course work. Dance is not just for the young however and we have a thriving Adult Tap class of mixed ages and abilities. Mostly for fun but also for exercise, we find that some are keen to take “Tap Tests” to feel a sense of achievement and performance. Children can start classes as young as three years old and there is no Upper age limit. The main genres are Ballet, Jazz and Tap with exams or medals attainable plus the chance to perform in the annual show proving that Broadstone is surely a cultural oasis?

If you have the desire to try out in any of these classes please ring Sue or Linda on 499528/744533 or just come along to The Broadstone Methodist Church Hall, the Broadway on Friday Afternoons from 3.30pm in term times and see if you have a hidden talent.
