Summer Fete
St. John's Church Fete, Macaulay Road, Broadstone.
The next event in our fund-raising calendar is the Summer Fete which will take place on Saturday 26th. June 2010 at 11 a.m. and will be held in the church hall and grounds. The theme this year will be Latin American and it is to be hoped that all will enter into the spirit of the event by dressing up as gauchos and Salsa dancers. There will be a dancing display by Broadstone Dance Studio.
The stalls will include the following;
Bric-a-brac, Jams, chutneys and marmalade, Home made biscuits and shortbread, Prizes for games, Bottle stall, Tombola, Fruit, vegetables and plants, Computer games, CDs, and DVDs, China and glass, Cakes, Jigsaw puzzles, Books, and Toiletries.
The Grand Draw will have a splendid range of prizes, the main ones being a Digital Radio, Garden Table and Chairs, and a large Hamper. Tickets will cost 50 pence each. There is also a Latin American quiz on the back of the flyers which will shortly be available from the church or parish office.
