Lack of Environment for March 2006

Mainly due to illness the report this month is late and brief.

The brevity is attributable to the weather, as this prolonged cold spell has brought Spring to a standstill.

In particular the birds do not seem to be moving at all. We still appear to have many of our Scandinavian friends with us, and as yet I have not seen or heard any of our incoming migrants. I am sure there are a few, but I cannot honestly say that I have been out scouring the countryside for them.

Still some brave souls out doing conservation work, with RSPB Arne still active (01929 553360)
