Broadstone Residents' Association
Broadstone Residents' Association is a non-political association with a membership of well over 3000 households. The aims of the Association are to consider all matters affecting the Broadstone Community, and to take any necessary actions to promote the interests and prosperity of Broadstone, whilst still having regard to the overall situation within the Borough of Poole. This frequently involves lobbying of local councillors, meetings with Borough Officers and discussions with outside agencies, such as the Police. Main topics are Planning, Education, Traffic, Policing, Street Cleaning and Waste, but should a member wish for assistance/advice on some other problem area, we are always ready to assist if we legally can.
The Executive Committee meets every eight weeks throughout the year. The Association publishes a magazine twice yearly (January and August), together with a News Letter announcing the AGM in May. It also provides two notice boards in the 'village' for any local organisation to publicise forthcoming meetings or events.
Membership of the Association costs £2.00 per year. Should you wish to join or receive further information, please contact the Secretary, Edward Floyd on 694187, or the Chief Warden John Sayers on 602235.
The Association has its own web-site.
The minutes of the committee meetings are available here from August 19999 to June 2008, which are listed below. For later minutes please check the Broadstone Residents' Association site.
