Following their recent, highly successful evenings of Plays 'n Chips, Broadstone Players are now well into rehearsals for their next production, "Run for your Wife", the well known and much loved farce by Ray Cooney.|
Without giving too much away, the story centres on London taxi driver John Smith, who manages to sustain a rather complicated love life until an unexpected event creates confusion and chaos, with twists and turns to the plot, involving not only his layabout lodger but also half of a dressmaking duo, not to mention the long arm of the law! Can John keep his life from exploding or will the truth come out?
It is a classic example of the British farce, so be prepared to exercise those stomach muscles! As one critic said "I was exhausted from laughing".
