Join over 1300 cyclists on our most popular bike ride in the South West and be one of the first to complete our brand new 66 mile route! We still have the 25 and 50 mile routes available making this a ride suitable for both families and cycling enthusiasts alike.
Last year an amazing 1200 people took part, and this year with the added challenge of ‘Route 66' we are expecting places to fill up quickly – so please register early to guarantee your place.
If you have taken part before, this could be the chance to challenge yourself to cycle that bit further on our new route. Or if you are taking part for the first time you have even more choice than before. But don't worry, you don't have to make up your mind today - you can decide which route to cycle on the day.
You can start the ride any time between 9am and 10.30am from Queen Elizabeth School in Wimborne and have until 4.30pm to complete the route you choose.
The ride is fully marshalled with refreshment stops located along the route.
Entry fees

On the day : £15 for adults and accompanied under 16's can cycle for £5

Benefactors by Michael Frayn
Time:
19:30
Location:
War Memorial Hall
 |
 |
Benefactors by Michael Frayn: Broadstone Players, War Memorial Hall, Broadstone - May 13-17 Doors open 7.30pm Curtain up at 8pm. Tickets £6 (Tues 2 for 1) from N J Lines, The Broadway, or at door.
Written as a memory play, it looks back on two youngish married couples in 1960s London. David is a visionary architect 'on his way to a Rolls Royce and a knighthood', who hopes to do good for the working class by replacing slums with mass-housing projects of his own design. He and his self-possessed wife, Jane, are also trying to rescue the troubled marriage of their neighbours Colin, a journalist whom David first met at Cambridge, and Sheila, a love-starved former nurse.
The play's tension derives from the incendiary give-and-take of the two couples and from the roles of all four characters in an acrimonious, city-wide policy debate that threatens the realisation of David's skyscraper housing scheme.
By the time of the play's conclusion, the architect's faith in progress has been shaken and the fabric of the couples' marriages and friendship has been destroyed.
