One of the world's greatest oratorios will be performed on the 14th & 15th June, providing a real treat for music lovers.
The Creation by Haydn is a glorious work for chorus, orchestra and three soloists. The wonderful story is described in the book of Genesis from the Old testament and is in three parts. Parts one and two cover the creation of the world in the first six days, while part three tells the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
This is a really joyful choral work and will be sung by the Broadstone Community Choir, accompanied by a 25 piece orchestra and featuring three young, international, professional singers who will be performing the solo parts.
They are soprano Abbi Temple, tenor Jonathan Grey and bass Orjan Hartveit all making a welcome return and performing with the choir once again.
The conductor is Stephen Gregson (pictured right).
The first concert will be held in the Broadstone Methodist Church on the 14th June at 7.30pm. For the first time, the second concert will be staged at a new venue, the Gainsford Theatre in Lytchett Minster School on Sunday 15th June at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £8 and available from Broadstone Health Foods, Dunyeats Road, on the door at the venues or telephone Denise Cuthbert on 01202 242508.
Book early! Last Christmas' concert was a sell out!
