The last southbound running of the Pines Express
This appears to be the last southbound running of the Pines Express via the S & D on 8.9.62 (note the garland of evergreens just visible on the front of the engine, partly obscuring the smokebox numberplate). If so, the engine is 9F 2-10-0 92220 "Evening Star". The picture seems to have been taken near Corfe Mullen Halt, which was at East End. [Information - John Saville]
